Emancipate NC is proud to celebrate Executive Director Dawn Blagrove, who will be honored for her Outstanding Service to North Carolina during the 63rd Anniversary March on Washington Celebration Breakfast on Saturday, August 29, at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Wilmington.
Hosted by the National Black Leadership Caucus – Southeastern Region, the annual event commemorates the historic 1963 March on Washington while recognizing contemporary leaders who continue the work of advancing justice, protecting civil rights, and strengthening communities across our state.

Dawn’s leadership embodies that spirit—standing at the forefront of efforts to protect voting rights, defend civil liberties, and ensure that every person has the opportunity to live with dignity and justice.
