Officer Umphlet was involved in an incident with our client, Anthony Drayton, at a McDonald’s in February 2025. We are gathering information to better understand community experiences and perspectives related to this officer.

Mr. Drayton’s case remains pending in Pitt County Superior Court. He has been found not guilty of Assault on a Police Officer and is currently facing a charge of Misdemeanor Resisting a Public Officer. His case is set for a jury trial later this year.
