Dawn Blagrove was on HBCU’s Think Tank panel, revealing what is at stake in the upcoming 2024 election.
The HBCU Think Tank is a collaborative space created to unite North Carolina HBCU students. Throughout the duration of the event, we will educate & train student organizers on various socio-political issues, challenge them to think deeper about the issues that impact their communities and inspire them to become the next generation of change agents. The time is now to ensure young people are equipped with the necessary tools to enact change and feel empowered to take charge.
We are excited to share that this year’s HBCU Think Tank will be taking place at Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina from Sunday, July 28th, 2024 to Tuesday, July 30th, 2024. This year’s theme is “Our Turn: The Story Continues” which aims to uplift the importance of storytelling and its connection to organizing. Our goal is that students will walk away from this year’s event feeling connected to the work they’re actively engaged in. We would love for you to partake in ensuring our students are fired up and ready to go!
We would love for Emancipate NC to join us again. facilitate open dialogue with our developing HBCU student leaders about what’s at stake in 2024. This session will be held on Monday, July 29th from 5:000-5:45pm.
