Emancipate NC Organizer Toia Potts and Strategic Director Elizabeth Simpson recently represented the organization at the Blueprint/Southern Vision Alliance Convening in Asheville, NC.
The gathering brought together allies, partners, and funders from across the region—including the NC Council of Churches, Cypress Fund, NC for the People, Common Cause NC, and the North Carolina Coalition for Alternatives to the Death Penalty—for shared strategy, relationship-building, and collective planning.
Throughout the convening, our team strengthened existing partnerships and explored new opportunities for collaboration as we look ahead to 2026. It was an energizing and inspiring space, and we’re deeply grateful to Blueprint and Southern Vision Alliance for hosting a powerful gathering focused on movement building and long-term vision.
