Host Cierra Cobb is dropping new episodes every Thursday full of intimate, earnest, heart-wrenching, and inspiring stories. From the 17-year-old convicted for decades on junk science to the appellate attorney fighting to help her clients appeal court decisions, the show reveals the scope of this country’s criminal injustice system and its harms in a way that is accessible and informative.
In her recent interview with Turron Chavis, Cierra herself shares the reality behind the show’s purpose: “This is why we do this podcast, to show people that there are so many people incarcerated in North Carolina with a long sentence who never committed a crime, and how they force crimes on especially the Black community when they know they had nothing to do with it.” More people need to hear these stories.
