Emancipate NC joined NC Now and ERA-NC Alliance on Monday 24th for the Dreadful Dobbs Decision Day Rally, commemorating the 2nd anniversary of the deadly Dobbs v Jackson Supreme Court Decision which undid the Roe v Wade decision that safeguarded the right to safe and legal abortion for almost 50 years. Dawn spoke at the Legislative Building in Raleigh for the somber occasion.

The Juneteenth Panel at NC Central featured a screening of Racist Roots: Origins of North Carolina’s Death Penalty. The film was followed by a panel discussion with Emancipate NC’s Dawn Blagrove alongside Vernette Alston, Ed Chapman, and Professor Irving Joyner. The event was organized by The NC Association of Public Defenders (NCAPD) and the NCCU School of Law Social Justice and Racial Equity Institute (SJREI)
