Effective on July 27th, 2022, North Carolina citizens (Over 56,000 People) on state or federal probation, parole, or post-release supervision for felony convictions can IMMEDIATELY begin to REGISTER and VOTE in NC elections, making this the largest voting rights expansion since the 1960’s Voting Rights Act.
What This Really Means:
Those on Felony Probation & Parole now have the Power to Vote these RACIST Law Makers and Elected Officials Out‼️Just imagine the Power Base we would hold if we had 56,000 people on felony probation, parole or post-release registered to vote‼️If someone runs for office, guess what…They HAVE TO COME SEE US!! The very people they OUTCAST. The very people they constantly dehumanized and demoralized. Let’s turn this into a Reality… Our Freedom Summer Tour Is Coming Your Way!!!
Check out the video of the kick-off event with our coalition partners, Forward Justice, Advance Carolina, North Carolina Justice Center, Community Success Initiative, and the ACLU of NC.
