The Raleigh HEART Coalition needs your voice now more than ever! The City Manager’s Office is asking for community input on our coalition’s Alternative Crisis Response Unit proposal from now until March 2024. We need to show the City that Raleigh residents want Raleigh to have a HEART! Here are the upcoming ways to participate in the support of HEART over the next few months:
January:
Attend and voice your support to the Raleigh Community Engagement department:
- Saturday, January 13th 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at El Mandado Supermarket in Raleigh at one of the Alternative Response Program Pop-Up Events. You can find out more information about this event here.
- On January 23rd from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. there will be a listening session with the LGBTQ center RUMAH (Raleigh United Mutual Aid Hub) at 415 Hillsborough Street in Raleigh. Folks should come out and show the city that there is support for an alternative response program!
February:
In February there are two upcoming community engagement events with the city of Raleigh for community feedback on the Alternative Response Program:
- Sunday February 11th from 12:00 p.m. -1:00 p.m. at Moore Square Park
- Wednesday February 14th from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Moore Square Park.
If you haven’t already, fill out the Alternative Response Program Survey online by March 10, 2024, and get entered to win a prize. You can find the survey at this link.
