Dedan Wacuiri traveled to Wallace, NC (Duplin County) last month to assist community members with a Community Conversation about policing. Wallace Police shot and killed James Lanier earlier this year, in the midst of a mental health crisis.
Community members want to transform his memory to be an inspiration for different ways of thinking about safety and wellness.
